According to real estate online blog MOVOTO, Chesterfield Township is the 3rd safest city in New Jersey.
Rated on a crime index with a maximum of 100 (100 being no crime), our township was ranked 98.
The report went on to say that we are home to about 7,700 residents and were formed on November 6, 1688.
The #1 safest place in the Garden State is surprisingly located very close to Manhattan, and is called Mahwah. Located in Bergen County, this town is home to 26,000 people, and has a crime rate of 99 (nearly none).
