CHESTERFIELD, NJ -
The Chesterfield Township Police are investigating 2 residential burglaries that occurred last night in our township at approximately 8:15pm.
Unknown subjects forced entry into two resident's homes through locked doors. Neither resident was home at the time of the burglary/theft. It is believed the subject rang the doorbell to see if the resident was home. Once no one answered the door, verifying no one was home, the subjects forced their way into the homes.
Subjects were last seen wearing black hoodie sweatshirts, leaving on foot in the area of Freeholder towards Bordentown Crosswicks Road. 2 k9 officers arrived on location to assist with a search of the area.
Anyone with any information on this or similar incidents (doorbell ringing with no one there or someone asking something) please contact Chesterfield Police at 609 723-8300.
This message was from Chesterfield Police Chief Kyle Wilson.
