YARDVILLE, NJ -
On WBNC News Radio back on January 17th, 2016, we first told you about the construction set for South Broad Street in Yardville.
The project was started on February 1st, 2016 and was scheduled to take 5 1/2 months, or 165 calendar days.
165 Calendar days means the project should have been completed on July 15th of 2016. Now, 6 months after that, Hamilton Township released an update, saying "Recently, the contractor for this project requested a 30-day extension to complete this project. Therefore, weather permitting, the project is anticipated to be completed before the end of this month, (January 2017)."
A request for comment from the Hamilton Township Public Works Director on why the project is so delayed was not immediately returned.
