COLUMBUS, NJ -
Though the sending districts voted no on the referendum for the big building upgrades back in September of 2015, the NBC High School campus will see some other changes at the start of the 2016 school year.
What Northern Administration is calling a safer traffic pattern on and around campus, this fall, students, parents, and community members will see an expanded East Building parking lot, and a new school bus road. They say this upgrade will "keep school buses separate from the daily traffic".
The additional parking spaces will be used by seniors that drive to school, and increase the visitor parking and the handicapped accessible parking to both the East and West Buildings.
The announcement also mentions that if the referendum for building additions and renovations were to pass, these parking lot expansions would accommodate those changes.
The administration estimates the project will be substantially completed by September 1st, and the school year begins for Northern Burlington students on Tuesday, September 6th.
