CHESTERFIELD, NJ -
Last Wednesday, John Kriger, of Kriger Consulting, made a presentation at the Chesterfield Municipal Building, on behalf of the Chesterfield Alliance Against Substance Abuse.
He spoke about opiates and marijuana extractions and the harmful effects they have. The meeting was paid for by a grant from multiple organizations such as the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Department of Human Services, and the Division of Behavioral Health and Youth Services.
Throughout the meeting, members and guests were informed about teens and their drug uses: giving examples of how drugs and alcohol can be obtained, how teens and young adults take opiates with several different methods, heroin and other drug addictions, and the effects of overdosing. Kriger stated that New Jersey holds 10% of the heroin addiction population in the entire country alone.
