CHESTERFIELD, NJ -
More than a month after the November 8th elections, we still do not have final results in the Chesterfield Township Committee Race.
Following a recount on Tuesday morning, Rita Romeu and Ron Kolczynski are still tied at 1,289 votes. Both Romeu and Kolczynski were in person Tuesday to witness the recount.
Burlington County Clerk Timothy Tyler estimates that a special election must take place between 45 or 50 days after around December 16th. That puts a special election around the week of January 30th.
